Why NASRDA — and Not Another Abuja Venue
No other institution in Nigeria has the authentic claim to be the origin point of organised, government-led telemedicine. NASRDA is not borrowing a theme — it is invited to reclaim, and bring up to date, a story that is already its own.
NigeriaSat-1 establishes Nigeria’s entry into space technology and the institutional base for later satellite-enabled national programmes.
The communications-satellite programme that produced NigComSat-1 is advanced with explicit public-service applications — rural telephony, tele-education and telemedicine.
NigComSat-1 is launched. NASRDA and the Federal Ministry of Health commission the National Telemedicine Pilot Project — the first structured, government-led telemedicine deployment in Nigeria.
An integration hub at NASRDA headquarters connects University College Hospital Ibadan, the University Teaching Hospital Maiduguri, and Federal Medical Centres across the six geopolitical zones, including Owo, Gombe, Makurdi, Yenagoa, Birnin Kebbi and Owerri.
A stakeholders’ evaluation meeting in Ibadan reviews the pilot and recommends continuation and commercialisation.
NigComSat-1R restores and extends satellite communications capacity relevant to health, education and rural connectivity.
The twentieth year of the 2007 pilot. The Summit offers a natural, credible national moment to mark the anniversary — and connect it to today’s mobile-health tools.

Every exhibitor and stand-builder appears on the security list.

Build & Power
Shell-scheme or equivalent modular booths, built on Wednesday 7 April. Electrical load, generator use and cable routes are agreed in advance with the facility officer. No independent generators inside the Hall without written leave.
Structured Walkabouts
Dedicated exhibition walkabouts are programmed after the Day-1 keynote, at lunch on both days, and in a guided Host Agency tour should NASRDA wish to walk invited guests through the Village.
What It Is Not
Not an open market. Not a political pavilion. Not a display of operational or classified space infrastructure. Photography remains confined to the approved Village and Hall.

The Awards & Gala Night
The Summit closes with a formal, invitation-only seated dinner in the Hall: the Digidocta Excellence Awards, and the evening’s headline institutional honour — Pioneer Agency of Telemedicine in Nigeria, presented to NASRDA, on a documented and independently verifiable historical record.
The Pioneer Award
Standalone and non-competitive. A citation is read, displayed on screen, and supplied in writing to Corporate Affairs with official stills and a copy of the highlight film. An engraved plaque is presented on stage to the Director-General or his nominee.
Digidocta Excellence Awards
Individual and organisational categories recognising outstanding contributions to digital health in Nigeria — products, service models, policy leadership and rural impact. NASRDA is not a judge and not in competition.
Protocol & Dress
Formal dress — dark lounge suit or equivalent national formal wear. Reserved VIP seating for NASRDA. Second accreditation at 18:00; attendance capped at the dinner layout approved by the Agency.
